Tanweer Alam is working as Joint Director and Regional Head, Indian Institute of Packaging, Delhi. Earlier he was R and D Head at Head Quarter Mumbai. Before Joining IIP, he was Assistant Professor in Banaras Hindu University. He was also associated with AAI- Deemed University, Allahabad. He was also Visiting Faculty, University of Allahabad and Jiwaji University, Gwalior and Anna University, Chennai. He has been working for last one decade in different Academic Institutions and involved in teaching of Graduate, Post graduate and Ph. D students. His Ph. D research work was on Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) of food products from National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal. He visited University of Copenhagen, Denmark under faculty exchange programme funded by EU under East West Food Project. He organized several conferences/workshops of national/international stature in different capacities. His area of research is on novel food packaging technology. He has also been associated in establishing Food Packaging Laboratory at NDRI, Karnal and Center of foods Science and Technology in BHU. Dr. Alam has published more than 100 research and technical papers in high impact referred journals, apart from delivering several invited lectures both in India and abroad. He has also contributed more than 15 book chapters. He is also life member of different Scientific and Academic Journals. He has also edited dozens of Proceedings and Technical souvenir. He is also Associate Editor of Asian J of Dairy Science and Journal of Packaging Technology and Research. He is also Editorial board of Processed Food Industry. Dr Alam is also member of different Committees of BIS. He is also assistant Editor of Journal of Packaging Technology and Research. He is National fellow of Academy of Dairy Science.

Bing-Huei Chen, food scientist, received his Ph.D. degree in Food Science and Technology, Texas A and M University, USA in 1988. He joined IFT as a student member in 1981 and became a professional member in 1989 (ID: 00032366). His postgraduate career include working at Fu Jen University, Taiwan as Associate Professor from 1988-1994, Professor from 1994-2000, Distinguished Chair Professor from 2004-present, Chair of Department of Nutrition and Food Science from 1994-2000, Director of Graduate Institute of Medicine from 2006-2009, and Dean of College of Human Ecology from 2012-2015. He specializes in Lipid Chemistry, Pigment Chemistry, Instrumental Analysis, Food Toxicology, Functional Food Development and Biological Activity Determination as well as Nanotechnology. Until now he has published 169 research articles in internationally renowned journals and authored 11 book chapters in edited books published by International Publishers. He has been honored with a young scientist award and outstanding research award by the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology in 1993 and 2000, respectively; outstanding research award by National Science Council, Taiwan in 1993 and1998; outstanding research award by the 4th International Symposium on Natural Colorants, San Diego, USA in 2000; outstanding research award and Chair Professor by Fu Jen University, Taiwan from 2004 -present; Distinguished Professor of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2015; Lifetime Achievement Award by Indian Institute of Oriental Heritage in 2015.
